Nalini Thakur
One of India’s top experts on heritage conservation is Professor Thakur. She has more than three decades of expertise in the fields of architecture and conservation, having held a range of positions including activist, professional, teacher, mentor, and academician. After completing her undergraduate studies at the School of Planning and Architecture, Delhi (SPA), she started her conservation training as a Fellow at ICCROM (UNESCO’s International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage). She eventually went on to complete graduate studies at the University of York as their first Charles Wallace scholar before becoming a full-time architectural faculty member at the School of Planning and Architecture, Delhi (SPA).

Coming back to India, SPA, and other professional projects
Summary:Coming back to her association with SPA as a teacher, she talks about her journey there and how she retired in 2017, as well as shares details of her work with the Conservation Department.
